These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Dot.Memory, operated by BluePin Inc ("BluePin", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using Dot.Memory, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Dot.Memory is

Dot.Memory is the persistence substrate for the Dot Ecosystem: knowledge-graph storage, vector indexes, Knowledge Pack archives, and audit trails that other Dot Ecosystem platforms write to. Dot.Memory is infrastructure, not a knowledge consumer — it stores content without reading it.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Store without reading

Dot.Memory does not read, model, or act on the content other platforms store with it. This means we can't review, moderate, or vouch for the accuracy of stored content — responsibility for what's stored, and for its lawfulness, rests with the platform that published it.

4. Retrieval SLA contracts

Dot.Memory publishes named retrieval-latency contracts for different consumer classes (agent-context, human-facing surfaces, audit, archive), each with a defined on-breach behaviour. These are operational targets, not a guarantee of a specific outcome for any individual request; they're described in full on our public documentation.

5. Forgetting policy

We don't delete stored content outright — content that's no longer actively referenced loses salience over time (ageing from Hot to Warm to Cold storage) rather than being erased, preserving a full history and audit trail. Legally required erasure is handled through cryptographic shredding once implemented; see our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to another team's account, dashboard, or stored data;
  • interfere with or disrupt Dot.Memory or the wider Dot Ecosystem; or
  • use automated means to scrape or extract data from Dot.Memory without our written permission.

7. Ecosystem single sign-on

Dot.Memory is part of the Dot Ecosystem. If you sign in via another Dot Ecosystem platform, you authorise that platform to hand off a short-lived, single-use authentication token confirming your identity to Dot.Memory.

8. Termination

You may stop using Dot.Memory and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use Dot.Memory in a way that risks harm to us, other users, or the Dot Ecosystem.

9. Disclaimers

Dot.Memory is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that Dot.Memory will be uninterrupted or error-free, and while we design toward the retrieval SLA contracts described in §4, we do not guarantee any specific latency or durability outcome for any individual request.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BluePin Inc will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Dot.Memory, including damages arising from content stored, retrieved, or lost through the platform.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
